When we founded venn, we embarked on a mission to enable people in cities around the world to live a more balanced and meaningful life, while positively impacting their neighborhoods.
We were fascinated by the impact revolution, which is breaking down the walls between business & social initiatives. For young entrepreneurs like ourselves, it means that we no longer have to choose one over the other – we can do well and do good.
“As we analyse the data, we are learning to focus on what really matters, taking us one step further into realising our vision – a positive transformation of urban life.”
Receiving the backing of top impact investors such as the Bridges Israel Fund was a true honor for us. This also came with great responsibility: to translate our impact vision into practice. We are grateful to the Bridges Israel Fund for their mentorship in helping us develop our impact framework and measurement methodology. At its heart are the three core values of venn’s impact approach – intentionality, inclusiveness, and measurability. We are serious about positively impacting people’s lives – we aim to constantly increase the number of people who benefit from venn’s activities, and we measure our social performance alongside our financial performance. For us, this is the true meaning of creating a ‘double bottom line’, with both financial and social returns on investment.
We are thrilled to release venn’s first official impact report and to share our achievements in 2018, along with a glimpse into our impact methodology. We’re only at the beginning of our journey, but we are already experiencing the benefits of the measurement process on our offerings. As we analyse the data, we are learning to focus on what really matters, taking us one step further into realising our vision – a positive transformation of urban life.
